UX Researcher

Zehner is a Los Angeles-based full-service digital agency that connects brands with consumers through strategic brand, design, and technology. We craft intuitive eCommerce experiences and digital products for editorial, entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, and consumer packaged brands.

This UX Researcher role will provide rich insights to empower the cross-functional project team to deliver the best end-user experience and optimize client ROI. The UX Researcher will identify the type of research appropriate for each industry sector and/or individual client and determine users’ needs and behaviors through qualitative and quantitative data. In addition, this UX Researcher will provide analytical reports to support CRO engagements for various clients across the organization portfolio to drive new business initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Represent and position Zehner as a leader and problem solver in all aspects of branded commerce and application design 

  • Enthusiastically collaborate with a cross-functional team of Designers, Brand Strategist, Project Managers and Technologists

  • Effectively communicate valuable insights and opinions in IA and UX process 
  • Adapt research practices and methods to align with client budgets and timeframes
  • Conduct user interviews and research to identify user goals, motivations and needs
  • Write, moderate, and report on usability studies using established testing methodologies including recommendations that drive the iterative design process
  • Conduct quantitative performance reports through Google Analytics 
  • Create and conduct A/B testing hypotheses
  • Support the CRO offering across organization portfolio
  • Pull insights from a range of methods including user surveys, eye-tracking studies, usability studies, and customer feedback
  • Professionally communicate and present findings to internal and client stakeholders
  • Plan and design personas, user journeys, workflows, sitemaps, and prototypes that support end-user, business and technology needs
  • Context switch between various client projects across various industry sectors, , spanning new business development and strategic initiatives through project delivery for active client portfolio

Required skills, experience and knowledge

  • Solid understanding of the user journey and research methodologies
  • Critical thinking to cull insights from user feedback, data, and research
  • Understanding of eCommerce and online sales attribution
  • Ability to tailor the message to various audiences
  • Experience scoping, planning, and executing usability research studies
  • Professional presentation and communication skills across all formats
  • Agile and Scrum methodology
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound judgment

  • Report to: Experience Director
  • Collaborators: Sr. Brand Strategist, Designers, Developers, and Project Managers.
